Model Car Group VW 1500S (type 3)

Description

The 1500S was a sportier version of the 1500. Available both as a sedan and as a station wagon, the “S” was presented in 1963. It was equipped with a double-barrel carburetor, thanks to which the power of the 1493cc engine increased to 54 horsepower from 45 of origin. The “De Luxe” specification was a package of options that improved the level of finish of the interior and bodywork. The 1500S series was discontinued in 1965, along with the standard 1500.
